He graduated Purdue University December of 2009, with his Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
During high school Paul developed an interest of his own in aviation. In pursuit of this he obtained his Private Pilot’s License and also earned his Instrument Rating prior to attending college at Purdue University. While at Purdue University he studied Aviation Management and received a recommendation from the school to attend the Mike Monroney Areonautical Center where he studied to become an Air Traffic Controller. Prior to serving with the Federal Aviation Administration Paul worked at a major airline and with the largest private aviation company in the world. Paul knew that to be the best public servant to the flying public he needed understand the needs of the people in the real world and not what was just written in text books.
In 2012, Paul achieved his goal of becoming an Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Aviation Administration at the Willow Run Airport just outside of Detroit. He was pleased but not satisfied with his accomplishment and in 2013 he made the decision to return to school to pursue a career as an attorney. He realized that it was important to have a career where he could have a more personal relationship with the people he was helping. Balancing the stresses of working full time as an Air Traffic Controller and attending law school he persevered and graduated Cum Laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
Paul now lives in Barry County with his wife Margie.
